WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY SPOTLIGHT

This week I have the pleasure of introducing a wedding spotlight feature to my blog. This feature will focus on some of the wedding photography highlights of the year so far.

To start us off we have the wedding of Leanne & Darren who tied the knot at the end of May this year. Darren & Leanne were fortunate enough to have their wedding ceremony & wedding reception on a wonderfully beautiful day at the fantastic Carr Hall Castle near Halifax.

The colour theme of the day was a deep bright red in which the Bridesmaids were clad and looked amazingly vibrant in the early summer sunshine. Darren & Leanne wore what you could class as vintage/gothic style attire (but I am no fashion expert) which blended nicely with the castle surroundings.

The couple had full use of the castle for their wedding day but in order to cater for the number of guests the ceremony was held in a marque attached to the rear of the castle. Its was a wonderful ceremony complete with string quartet to add to the atmosphere.

All Darren and Leanne's wedding planning appeared to flow like a dream and an enjoyable time was had by all.

Carr Hall Castle is owned by Leeds entrepreneurs Terry George and Michael Rothwell, the castle, available for hire for weddings & luxury breaks, is situated in a secluded, wooded valley, adjacent to a deer park, midway between Leeds and Manchester.

The castle was the winner of Channel 5's I Own Britain's Best Home. Voted for by the public, it beat off stiff competition from 26 other luxury homes around the UK, including a stately home and a converted water mill. It is now hired out for luxury short breaks and luxury weekend breaks.

Set in 12 acres of lush land, there's an outside courtyard with barbeque area and a lake with a rowing boat.
